In time, one comes to see that there's a lot of reasons for that, and some of us come to .. if not accept, at least understand how or why it is like this ... (importation taxes, minimum salary tradition & politics in the Brasilian economy, &c &c ...
)
Anyway, it's also the reason why very, VERY few Brasilian kids will ever dream of larger sets ... The prices look like exponential, it's scary to think of the price of a castle in Brasil, even bringing it through Amazon.com.
The largest sets I think to have acquired myself was the Royal Kitchen & the Blue timbered steck house. (Besides that knights superset, in the beginning of this thread, which wasn't cheap, but, for a reasonably big set, it wasn't expensive either, but, as well, probably thrice the price in US$ or Euros ...)
Even though, I can survive ... =P
