Toy Company’s New Line-Up and DVD Debut Inspire Creative Play New York, February 15, 2009 – For years, PLAYMOBIL has provided families with high-quality toys that encourage children worldwide to use their imaginations and engage in creative play. For the 2009 International Toy Fair, PLAYMOBIL is keeping true to its heritage and introducing more than 80 new products, all of which provide high play value, a crucial element in today’s economy. New themes include Egyptians, Wedding and a Veterinary Clinic.
A unique way to pique children’s interest in ancient history, the Egyptian line includes a massive pyramid, a royal ship, an Egyptian chariot and more. Perfect for children who dream of their own fairy tale wedding, the Wedding line includes a church, bride and groom, wedding guests and much more. The beautifully detailed sets can be the backdrop for fun imaginative play and, like all PLAYMOBIL toys, can be combined with any other set in the PLAYMOBIL line.

A first for PLAYMOBIL in 2009 – a full-length DVD for children based on the PLAYMOBIL characters – set to be released this fall.
“The Secret of Skull Island,” from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, will be the first-ever full-length 3D CGI animated movie based on PLAYMOBIL toys. With an interactive storyline and a host of bonus features, kids will let their imaginations go wild! For parents new to PLAYMOBIL, the DVD is a perfect way to introduce the characters to children in a fun movie format.

Construction
Take Along Construction (4043) – Have hours of fun at your hands with the Take Along Construction set. The garage offers tons of storage room for tools and a vehicle. The roll gate and the unfolding ramp allow for easy car entrance. The garage can also be opened to expose both sides for twice the fun. Road Maintenance Truck (4046) – Keep the roads safe with the Road Maintenance Truck. The truck comes with blinking lights, removable snow plow, and 190º rotating arm. The loading bin tilts and the cabin roof is removable. The dispenser also functions to release contents onto the ground. Comes with a figure and many other accessories. Two coin batteries included. Animal Clinic
Animal Clinic (4343) – Children can help the veterinarian treat the animals at the Animal Clinic. Includes three figures, pony, peacock, birds, puppies, and rabbits. Also comes with ultrasound device, removable cast, bandages, bird cage, and many other accessories. Compatible with Animal Nursery (#4344) and

Animal Nursery (4344) – The nursery comes with three figures, pony, sheep with lamb, donkey, calf, goat with baby, and many other accessories. Treat the wounded with the removable casts. Available January 2009.
Vet with Car (4345) – Drive the veterinarian to see the animals in need of attention. Includes a figure, green car with removable roof, and medical case. Available January 2009.
Vet Operating Room (4346) – Children can scrub in and assist the vet with surgeries in the Operating Room. Includes two figures, two puppies, kitten, turtle, X-Ray equipment with changeable slides, CT scanner, and many other accessories. Also comes with removable casts that can be placed on animals. Wild Animal Puzzle (6745) – Toddlers can play and do a puzzle at the same time with the Wild Animal Puzzle. Includes a figure, monkey, giraffe, zebra, lion, cloud, and a colorfully decorated puzzle board. Recommended for ages 18 months and up. Available January 2009.
Playground (6748) – On sunny days, toddlers can spend the day outside playing at the Playground. Includes three figures, bench, red slide, and a yellow dinosaur that rocks back and forth. A figure can also sit on top of the dinosaur. Recommended for ages 18 months and up. Available January 2009.

Nautical Expedition
Expedition Ship (4469) – The Expedition Ship floats on water, comes with a functional anchor winch, and can be upgraded with the Playmobil Underwater Motor (#7350). With the cable winch, the Playmobil Shark
Diver (#4500) or Deep Sea Diving Bell (#4478) can be hoisted into the water. Set includes three figures, binoculars, treasure filled chest, and many other accessories. Available April 2009.
Research Submarine (4473) – Explore the deep seas with the Research Submarine. Submarine comes with an underwater motor and two arms that grasp. The depth of the submarine in water can be adjusted with the hand pump. Also includes two figures. Available April 2009.

Pyramid (4240) – Keep the Pyramid from being invaded by releasing various traps with your very own amulet. Intruders will have to overcome the collapsible staircase, chute, and scorpion trap. There is also a secret treasure chamber, trapdoor with slide, and rotary secret chamber. The pyramid walls are removable. Set includes four figures, tomb, and many other accessories. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Available August 2009.
Royal Ship of Egypt (4241) – Sail along the Nile River in the Royal Ship of Egypt. Includes three figures, functioning crossbow catapult, and many other accessories. The ship rolls on wheels or floats on water, and it can be upgraded with the Playmobil Underwater Motor. Available August 2009.
Egyptian Chariot (4244) – Travel in the desert with the Egyptian Chariot. Includes a figure, two horses, chariot, and many other accessories. Available August 2009.
Family Home
Suburban House (4279) – Check out the new Playmobil Suburban House! The two-story house comes with attic windows that tilt, extendable marquee, garden, a functioning doorbell and grill. Also includes four figures. Available August 2009.
Backyard (4280) – Store your bicycles and gardening equipment all in the Backyard. Set also includes a figure, lawn mower, and bike rack with two bicycles. Available August 2009.
