Playmobil City EMS new custom EKG monitor leads.
« on: June 19, 2009, 02:58:42 »
This is a photo story of Playmobil City Emergency Medical Services in action using my new custom EKG monitor with leads to monitor heart rate, & heart electrical activity. The young male in the following pictures starting feeling nauseated, with the following symptoms; cold sweats, chestpain, & pain radiating into his upper interior left arm. After administering oxygen, an IV TKO, & monitor leads, he was shown by the monitor, & symptoms to be having a Myocardial Infarction (MI) that prompted immediate intervention.

An overview picture of the PCEMS crew in the process of loading their patient into Medic11, M11.

A picture of the crew checking heart, & breath sounds bilaterally, medications being administered, checking monitor screen for dysrhythmias, & adjusting the O2 level to 15 liters by nonrebreather mask.

A close up picture of PCEMS Paramedic preparing to administer morphine to ease the discomfort of their patient.

A picture of the monitor with new leads attached.

I hope you like the details!

Thank you leefert, & Gepetto for your positive reviews! I've been working on this project off, & on lately, & finally was satisfied enough with the end results to show my efforts! It has always driven me crazy to see Playmobil have heart monitors now especially in the hospital ER, & ambulances, with no leads to connect the patient to the machine, or defibrillators to regulate heart V-fib or asystole problems in ambulances,.....what the....? So I had to fix these problems!

your ekg leads are sooooo great.  i like their scale.  are you going to share how they were made?  love the photo details as well.  one last thing to make it even more real, is there a male figure without a shirt that could be used?  or do you need to customize an open shirt?

They look really excellent - most realistic.  You bring a new edge to detail customs, Bill.

Thank you, LHAAP, kaethe, Playmofire for your positive reviews! kaethe, I've been wondering about a bare skinned torso myself, but haven't pursued it much! I would prefer to find a figure like you described to create more realism. I think maybe some of the native series, slated to come out in the future, or past retired jungle native series had some that with some removal of printed clothes could be used in custom figures to fill this need. The lower body would need to be switched to individual legs instead of a long dress with feet also. I'll start looking into this quest  ;)!

I've just thought of a design for an open shirt custom figure :yippee:! I'll start development on it immediately, & after I get the items needed to create it, post the finished project in an updated EMS call photo story  ;)!
I hope this project will help you also, kaethe!
