Hi Martin

this is a brilliant idea - and a totally legal way of how to make "building plans/instructions" available for parents or collectors without violating copyrights or showing copyrighted building plans.

A website collecting such "pictured building instructions" would be a good thing to support. ;)

And geobra would have no legal right to close down such a website ...
Cheers

You're off the edge of the map, mate. Here there be monsters. hehehe

Well I haven't written much lately, you say?
So what! Neither has Shakespeare!

Another excellent "set of plans," Martin !!! ...  :wow: ...  :wow: ...  :wow:

I agree with Arrizo's comment, "A website collecting such 'pictured building instructions' would be a good thing to support."

Perhaps either Collectobil or Garden Wargaming could host your "plans" and make them available to the entire Playmobil community? What do you think? Of course, Playmofriends is also an excellent place, and I think that since you're using "PhotoBucket," that anyone can see them here (even if they're not members of PF). Perhaps you could also ask Sylvia what she thinks about the idea of having the "plans" hosted here? Also, since you're linking to PlaymoDB's parts numbers, maybe Heather might be interested?

Just some rambling thoughts ...  ;)

Thank you for all your work on this and all the best,
Richard

Ooops !!!

I just noticed that Sylvia has already set up a "guide" to Martin's plans here at Playmofriends ...  :-[

Looks like your "plans" have a home, Martin !!!

Ooops-2

This is one of those times when it would be nice to be able to ERASE (delete) your posts so that everyone wouldn't have to read a bunch of nonsense!

When you read "Recent Posts" (newest first) and respond, you have no idea what may have been already said somewhere else on the forum (until it's too late and you've already put your foot in it).

I vote to re-establish the ability to delete a post (at least for fifteen minutes or so).

Sorry, Martin ...  :-[
(And, Martin, because of my loyalty to Playmofriends ... I would have really enjoyed reading that you had created your wonderful plans "primarily for PF" and that you are also sharing them with the other forums. Rather than the other way around.)

All the best,
Richard

Thanks to Geobra shutting down Playmofan's Plans site, Heather and I have revived the idea of a pictorial guide which will not infringe on any copyrights.

I've started with 3667, and will in the next week or so be adding 3030, 3666, 3888, and combining 3888 with the 3666 and 3667 castles. The Rock Castle and Empire Castle will hopefully follow in due course.

I'm creating these primarily for Playmoboard, where we get a lot of people asking for plans to these older castle sets, in the hopes that this helps them, and reproducing them here in case they are useful.

The part numbers are linked to Heather's Playmodb, and the pictures are hosted on my Photobucket account. Feel free to use the pictures for anything you like.

Martin, you are incredibly organized. When I put together a set there are piles of pieces and parts spread every which way, some still in bags, some not.  I could never photograph the process! You have everthing spread out so neatly. thanks for the great instructions.

At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)
