Gordon the only differences are the 3880, & 5716 item numbers on the left front white bumper label, & the right rear swing out door. Everthing is interchangable between the vehicles themselves. The equipment content is different also, & can be seen on the Playmodb site.
Thanks for the info.  I see the 5716 lacks the rescue items; I hadn't realised that before.

Excellent observation Gordon! I always add the large rescue cutters, & spreaders to all of the 5716 engines that I put into my fleet.

There's just something about a "line-up" that stirs a collector's soul ... :klickygrin:

That's probably why I collect Playmobil toy soldiers. They also look really great in a "line-up" (or parade) ... :klickygrin:
