the measure of the diorama-area (build out of tables) is 7,20m x 4,40m - the harbour itself measures approximately 6,90m x 2,80m - at first I thought there is too much space covered with plain water, but the longer I looked at the diorama, the more I came to the conclusion that the huge expanse of water emphasizes the harbour as a real harbour ...
Hello,
Arizzo ...
Everyone seems to agree that your diorama appears to be very large.
But, how
BIG is it?
Since I don't think metric, I converted your meters into approximate feet measurements. (As everyone knows, "feet measurements" are the old English system that, for some unknown reason, most Americans seem to love.)
The overall dimensions of the entire diorama are more than 23 1/2 feet by about 14 1/2 feet.
The harbour area measures more than 22 1/2 feet by more than 9 feet!
Yes, that is one gigantic, beautiful diorama !!!
And, I absolutely agree,
Arizzo, that the large harbour area really emphasizes the realism, but I also think that it definitely adds to the visual magic and drama of your spectacular diorama.
Thank you very much for sharing your marvelous creation with us.
All the best,
Richard
