Klicky & other Playmo in our daily life

Martin once said that there was a clown, at his working place, which was his favourite. It's funny, but my coworker's favourite is a clown as well.

I have a klicky at work, but it isn't my favourite, but a "spare" one ... It's a gladiator. (I'll show pictures, along the thread development.)

Do you carry klickys with you, wherever you go? From a time ago, I began to walk around with Fred & Masie, in hope of taking pictures of them around. (If I wait for the right time to do it, it'll never happen ...) So, it's been a couple of weeks, since I decided to have them in my bag, everyday. My partner (same one that has a clown at his desk) at the office already knew them

You may tell your tales here, and talk about your favourite klickys/buildings/vehicles, as well as chat about storing places, displaying, customizing habits, and story-telling (and characters, and plans) and other things. The idea is that we may bring our playmodelights here, to this thread!

Here's a picture of the klicky I have at work. It's, as I said, a "spare" one. ("Spare" because I don't have another like him, but, even so, I leave him there. He has no name, until now.) Also attached, the klicky my coworker has there, at the office. He liked the idea, and, when he found some of his girl's old klickys, he came by this one, which he likes dearly, and decided to have him there.

Whoa that is one creepy clown!

I don't have any Playmobils of my own, but since I work in a toyshop, I'm pretty much surrounded by them.

Heh, that is a scary clown. The red line running across his mouth refers back to a rather unpleasant practise, fortunately no longer done, of cutting the edges of the mouth and into the cheeks to extend the "smile" of a clown. I wonder if that's what Playmo intended? <shiver>

The clown I used to keep at work was the Harlequin, I thought his Black & white look, with red pompoms, was very well done.

On your friend's clown (a very old figure and very nice btw) he ought to swap the red & yellow boot tops on his legs, they would be offset against the sleeves.

Back to the original topic, yes, I often carry a klicky with me, but the actual klicky varies depending on my current favourite. Ratehr perversely, the klickies I have on my PC desk at home tend to be the ones requiring some modification or work on them, or ones I haven't decided what to do with yet. I do have a display of knights on top of my monitor, their feet secured with Blu Tac.

Well, going on ...

I play chess. My second hobby, for the moment. (It should be the third, 'cause I'd more happily play the mandolin as a second hobby, but music goes slower than chess, so ...)

I used to play on my own, so as to practice ... (Now, don't anyone think this is too crazy ... someone thought about it before me! ...)

I found out that it's very interesting, though, when practicing, to put a klicky at the other side of the board! (Now you can think I'm crazy! )

It's funny, because the game gets (at least psychologically) more challenging, because you deceive your mind to the thought that there is a player, at the other side ...
