I am saddened.
A great visionary in a child's play has gone forever. He has had a great influence on my early childhood, though he never knew me and I never met him. I was one of the many, many children that loved to play with the plastic figures and was drawn into play with them. In that way, every child he saw playing with it was somehow a bit me. And in every new voyage of make-believe I made with my favourite figures, I discovered a part of him. So we did meet. Somewhere in my playing world.
For that I am gratefull.
Now, I see my children picking up old and new klickies and sailing away into their dreams and fantasy. From time to time I catch a glimp of them and sometimes I can fly with them.
For that I am gratefull too.
Thank you, Mr. Beck, thank you for all of that.
