Yes but it's quite easy to join and you can opt for English instructions.

I had problems at Klickywelt, too.  I had signed up some time back, but this time I could not get in - I think I was booted because of inactivity, but, as I don't speak German, I am not sure.

I've added all the new sets (or new to the database, at least):

I retyped the German names as best I could, given the blurriness of the scans - hope someone will correct me if I've made mistakes.

Thanks for that, Heather.  One minor problem with the 4821 fire engine, but you may not be able to do anything about it as it involves a special character, but it should be rüstwagen.
