Photos of ocean scene
« on: January 28, 2009, 00:22:18 »
Hi

I have hopefully worked out how to resize photos, and wish to share a small display we created when we first got the new under ocean range.
This is of particular interest to me as I went to university to study ocean science and am a keen scuba diver.

Thanks Adrian

That is a really nice display Adrian! I really like the way you have the ship on the surface with the buoys. What part of the world are you in, can you dive where you live?

Thank you for the photos, look forward to seeing more! :wow:

That looks gorgeous! :inlove:

I've always wanted to create an above and below water scene. I was thinking along the lines of something less modern with a pirate or viking ship above and mermaids in the water.

I love the way you have rendered the surface of the ocean. It looks realistic and yet it still blends in well with the Playmobil models. What is it made from?

Thanks for sharing your fabulous diorama! :)

A wonderfull display, Townklicky!

I really like the way you used the Pirate superset (aka - the wreck) and the way you created to water. Just out of curiosity - how did you do the water?

Hi

thanks for your comments.

I live in england, so do not get many chances to dive nowadays locally. But in the summers I will dive on the south west coast where visibility is okay.

I created the water using layers of cling film stuck together with PVA glue, and painted every other layer blue, then attached around 6 of these double layers together.
I then used coat hangers to extend it and so allow the boats to sit on the surface.

Thanks Adrian

WOW!  Awesome idea - I bet a lot of people will be giving that a try!  8-)
