Formal Meeting and Photo Shoot for PCFD

Hello Everyone
,
I hope you have been enjoying the pictures so far. As promised here is the next installment
.
It has become a brigade tradition that anyone who visits my fire service has their pictures taken with the fire fighters at the host fire station and the Chief Fire Officer. This is allways organised for the day after their arrival as most of the men will be too tired for anything else. It is quite a formal occasion and there is a lot of hand shaking and posing for the camera. It was a very cold morning by our standards and even more so for the men from PCFD but they braved it out and we have some great pictures. We were also able to meet a very distinguished guest and official brigade photographer while we were on. It was decided that all training exercises and events would be recorded for Bill's reference. As a result our mystery guest kindly offered to do the rest of the camera work for Bill throughout his stay.
A Special guest arrives to take the pictures but can anyone guess who he is ?
"Hello Bill, its nice to meet you again. I take it you and Tim need my assistance with some pictures"
Yes that's right its our very good friend Gordon. A dab hand with the camera and allways willing to help out where pictures need taking. Gordon had not long finished a stint in the USA taking some pictures for Bill
Bill hands over a selection of photography and recording equipment for use during their stay. It looks like Gordon might need an assistant at some point
Gordon pulls out a spare tripod to replace the one Bill forgot in the sheer chaos of organising all the equipment back in the states

The appliances of Station 23 Pendeford were rolled out for the camera. There will be more detailed descriptions of the engines and their rolls in a future thread.
Here is our Water Tender Ladder or WTL. It is fitted with a special peice of equipment called the Cobra.
This is the Water Tender or WT for short.
Station 23 is home to the regions Rescue Tender. An appliance that carries rescue equipment to deal with RTC or Road Traffic Collisions
Finally the brigade's sole Water Tanker.

The entire crew of station 23 turned out for the photo shoot. The appliances were pulled into position and the men lined up for the formal introduction. Our Chief Fire Officer or CFO and his assistant the ACFO were also there for the event. The Chief Fire Officer is the highest ranking officer in our fire service.
PCFD fire fighters line up to meet the senior officers of my fire service. They start with Station Officer Gardner who picked them up from the airport the day before.
PCFD District 1 Deputy Chief 1 David Jones meets Station Officer Gardner the officer in charge of Station 23.
PCFD District 2 Deputy Chief 2 Dennis O'Connor meets Chief Fire Officer Walters.
Bill meets CFO Walters.
Bill meets Assistant Chief Fire Officer Williams.

With the hand shaking out of the way it is time to take care of the group pictures. It has to be said that by now everyone is quite cold, fed up and in need of a good cup of tea
PCFD District 1 Deputy Chief 1 David Jones, CFO Walters and PCFD District 2 Deputy Chief 2 Dennis O'Connor.
PCFD District 1 Fire Fighter Bill Blackhurst and CFO Walters.
'Senior Officers'
PCFD District 1 Deputy Chief 1 David Jones, SO Gardner, ACFO Williams, CFO Walters and PCFD District 2 Deputy Chief 2 Dennis O'Connor.

Hi again Tim
!
I forgot to ask if we were going to get to see the beautiful custom appliances working from all angles, or do I need to consult Playmofire
?

Hello Bill,
Thank you very much indeed for the kind feedback. I am glad you are enjoying the story's so far. With the formalities out the way we are certainly going to take a look at some of the appliances in detail. Infact yesterday we did some basic pump training and Gordon had his work cut out getting all those great angles you are after
. Infact i have about 50 pictures to post that form the basis of the next story. I have tried to cut them down a bit but its just not going to work and there would be great chunks missing out of the story
.
Kindest Regards Tim
Hello Richard,
Thank you very much indeed for the kind reply. I am glad you have found the pictures interesting so far. Its allways hard to keep the casual observer interested but i try my best with every story. Its good to know that this is working and you are benefiting from the content. I am not so sure if the next one will be as interesting as its more 'specific' to fire fans but i have tried to keep it light hearted.
Kindest Regards Tim
