Hello, Michael ...

Please tell Axel that a "highlander" with kilt would be a great original Klicky to accompany the book. It is NOT German, and it would require a new mould, but it would be a welcome addition to the Playmobil line!

BTW ... there are photos all over the place of custom Scottish Highlander Klickys.

Thanks and all the best,
Richard

Hey that transparent klickie idea sounds so great . you would be able to see the internal workings of it and it would be so unique. clear body & legs and the normal head .
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

i think richard and rasputin are maybe missing the idea.
as far as i could tell, axel gave up the idea of a very complex clicky inserted on the iside of the book with a transparent window.
it seems to me that "transparent" would aply to the window and not to the clicky.
as far as the customization possibilities can go, i think that a sticker in a "regular" white and blue clicky is the maximum goal.
these are not great possibilities but maybe macgayver can confirm them.

From what I read over at Klickywelt, I think that your assumptions are probably quite correct, Cachalote.

However, I would think that Playmobil could do a lot better than just a "sticker" on a plain Klicky.

Why not do something really spectacular? Why do they always seem to take the "least expensive" or the "least trouble" way out? If they can't do something with some real WOW, why bother at all?

Well, that's my two cents worth ... :2c:

All the best (and, I wish that Playmobil would also do their best),
Richard

Hello all

The trouble with different languages is allways the translation

Transparant in this subject handles about the klickie or the parts used

That means , there is no colour in the plastic ,

people who visited the factory sometimes could lay their hands on such parts , I think (not shure) those parts were made to try the mould and not for production ,it would look like you made the figure with your hot glue gun
(I hope this makes a bit sense)

I repeat : Axel's Idea behind this is that people who buy the book also become an exclusive collectorsitem (figure) that only will be available when you buy the book

I believe as it comes as an extra to the book they will not invest too much in the fabrication

I somewhere have such parts , I must go dig to find them and post a pic maybe that will explain better

I love the idea of a transparent klickie.

The examples above are translucent, i.e. they allow light to pass through, but not transparent like glass. They're also softer plastic than a klickie figure. I'd like a klickie that looked like it was made of glass throughout.

I'm not sure it's technically possible, I think the kinds of plastics that can be produced as truly transparent have different flow properties when molten and are more fragile once cool, so may not work in the same moulds, and may be too breakable to assemble and sell safely.  It would be ultra-cool though.
