5844 Mega Police Set
« on: October 17, 2008, 01:40:41 »
Has anyone seen this Mega Police set?  A family member* found it for me at Sams Club for US$35.

It isn't as exciting as it first seems--I'm not a police set expert, but this seems to be a composite of 4 separate sets with nothing new.

But the it's a value for the money.

I'm not into the police theme but it does seem like a great value for those who are.

From what i remember the boat was $20 the jet-ski was $5 the water car was $9 and the chopper was $12 so somewhere around $46ish individually

Well seeing as Sams Club is owned by the Waltons and now that Walmart caries Playmobil it is fitting .

Seems like there is a lot of MEGA going around

Hello, Timmy ...

Heather doesn't have this set in her PlaymoDB ... I'll bet that she would really appreciate a good clear photo of front and back (as well as instruction sheets) ...  :klickywink:

BTW, IMHO, $35 is a bargain for this set.

All the best,
Richard

Thanks for the plug, Richard.  Yes, please!  It's a combo of 5764, 5773, 5786, and 5801, right?

I'm also missing plans for 5795 - Police Set with Jail, another US-only police set; if anyone has one, please contribute.

How nice , i do not know if that is a US thing ( might be a Canadian idea ) the jail cell has a collection of books and a place for tea or coffee.

I've also seen this set in TRU in Glasgow but i seem to remember it being £50 or £60....making $35 even more of a bargain!!

That was at least a couple of months ago now so i guess they may have decreased the price in TRU by now.

Correction:

I should have said it was from Costco, not Sams Club.

Disregard.  I independently verified off the web that it was Sam's Club.
