Round peg in hair piece ?
« on: October 05, 2008, 21:29:05 »
I just picked up a set locally and as i was going through the box i came across a figure that the hair just did not snap on . I took it off and found something i have never seen before ? The bottom of the leg is 1974 and other klickies with the same coloring and date are normal ?

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

I don't think that's Playmobil hair, but from a wanna-be figure like Play Big.

Some shots from another angle to show the hairstyle would help confirm this.

It looks like Playmobil-hairstyle to me.

Question is: is it Playmobil?
I doubt it. I've had Playmobil since it's release back in '74 and have never seen it before.

Could it be a License-product like Antex, Estrella or Schenk?

Ras, if it's original Playmobil hair from that era, a Playmobil hat should fit it (does it?) and it should have a notch at the back of the hair, which would be covered when a hait is worn.

Is it possibly from the 1,2,3, series, or is their hair moulded into the head?

Good idea, Playmofire.
Unfortunately, it definitly isn't Playmobil 123 - that hair is indeed moulded on and isn't removable.
Besides - the picture of the klicky beside it, is definitly not 123.

A few pictures more might solve a lot of questions, MadMonk.
Can you provide some?

Sure , Here are 2 more and then my camera lost its power. It is the older skirt style Klickie and i have a whole bunch of them . I am not very familiar with the licensed products so i would not be able to identify those right away. It looks just like the others and has the female hair with the notch in the back . Another strange thing is if you look in the head the brown intended for the eyes and mouth is in three separate strips and not all the way around the inside of the head ? I started looking through some of the other old Klickes and have some that the hair is just on so tight i never tried to get them off ( never really needed that style on a different  Klickie ) and have found some more ? Hats fit fine, If it is not original what factory made it under license ?

Maybe the figure's Playmobil and the hair isn't, e.g. Playbig.

The hair fits just right and now this is not the only one i have . I am sure if i look around i could find more. Since i do not collect the Antex or others i was wondering if it is one of those ? Do the licenced molders use Geobra on the bottom of the foot and did they do it in 1974 ?
