The trip sounds like a blast and I'd love to come too! (Not sure I could get my hubby on a boat full of playmo-addicts though!  ;))

Don't tell him ;)  ;D ... we could all pretend it's just a happy suprise

... I wouldn't book any trip down there in hurricane season  ...

Hmmm ... Hurricane season seems to be getting longer and longer every year. I remember when we only had to seriously worry about the latter part of August, all of September and the first part of October. Now it seems like we need to be on alert from June to December ... :(

Perhaps we should sink the cruise idea and talk about hiking in the Green Mountains. About the only dangerous thing that I can remember about Vermont in summer is Poison Ivy!

All the best, Kim,
Richard

BTW ... How does one award someone a "wet noodle?" ...

That's one of the "perks" awarded only to registered members. ;)

Red,
My husband feels the same way, too

We were lucky when we met Gary and Suzy (ms omega) because they are interesting and cool people, but the DH is none too sure about Playmobil gatherings.

We could always room together, if  that would be acceptable to you.
I dont snore.

Hmmm ... Since everyone needs as much "good" Karma as they can get, I would be very reluctant to ever "wet noodle" anyone. It's unfortunate that "wet noodles" are not separate, as I would probably enjoy adding to one's "wet noodle" score ...

Thanks for the explanation, Sylvia ... And, for putting my dues to such good use so quickly ...  :P

All the best,
Richard

When I told Paul of this idea (not the Playmo part, the cruise) he was "Yes"!  Then I told him the Playmo part and he was all "I don't know about that..." so, me thinks we have enough "sticks-in-the-mud" to keep each other occupied during playmo activities (which won't be all day after all.)

Plan B: We leave 'em home with the kids and cats!  :P

Plan C:  Meeting in British Columbia!

really, i thought poison ivy grew everywhere.

learn something new everyday.

As to our stick in muds - we could inform the spouses that there will be others there that do not share an interest in Playmobil.  They will be able to organize their own activites.

I'm for BC, too ;D  I'm trying to talk my family into having our 2007 family reunion in Portland OR (my nephew lives there).  If we do, DH and I have already agreed to do a 2 week vacation, so we can drive up the coast to Vancouver.  Last time we did Portland, we drove down the coast to San Francisco.

We've already laid out the 2006 family reunion in Las Vegas, since it will be my niece's 21st birthday. ;D

As for our 'sticks-in-the-mud', Meg and Psyche both have it.  They don't have to do the playmo activities (DH would be perfectly happy to stake out a deck chair and read), AND we wouldn't be doing playmo all day, every day.  Me, personally, I don't do structure well  8}
