That works! :D   In fact, in 2008 we're hoping to be out that way to renew our vows ... so, we have to scout locations, yes?

2008 would be perfect, Serenity!

Do you have a specific month in mind?

Never too early to start planning ... ;)

Probably early summer ... our actual anniversary is in September, but, as you know, not the best time for traveling in the Caribbean  :o  ;D  We were thinking a pirate wedding on a windjammer ... what do you think?  ;D  :P

September could be very exciting! Especially for anyyone who has never been through a Category five Hurricane ... ;)

Early summer or late spring isn't too bad as the temperature doesn't vary much in the Virgin Islands. Also the air fares and hotel rates will be a bit lower than during the winter season. (However, having been in the travel industry, you already know all this.)

Regardless, my advice would be ... the closer you can get your date to the winter season the better. The air is drier (less humidity) and the nights are a litlle cooler.

A Playmofriends Windjammer cruise could be a lot of fun for everyone! We might be able to get a great group rate if we start working on them soon. I wonder how many "friends" might actually be interested in a Playmo-pirate cruise in the Caribbean?

Yes! I took a Windjammer cruise many years ago and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Very beautiful, fun, laid-back....

...and 2008 is good as this time next year we hope to be in Africa!

Can Psyche be your Klicky Of Honor Serenity?  :*)

You're definitely counted in, Diana

And, please tell us where you're going in Africa in 2007 ...

Unfortunately, we have several college students and teachers in my family, so unless it's Christmas break (undoable on several levels), winter is out ... at least for vow renewals.

I wouldn't mind just doing a PF Windjammer Cruise, and they have great group rates, and low group numbers.  6 people (not cabins) constitutes a group, and if you sail in January, you get 2 free passengers (for every 6 paying) ... that drops the price of the cruise per person a nice bit.

OK! I´m with you! I`ll cobble together a raft and take our local river the Dill down to the Lahn and after a pretty cruise I`ll be in the Rhine; from there the current´ll take me to the North Sea. Then it´s plain sailing, through the Straits of Dover , down the English Channel and a hop across the Atlantic. If I start in the spring I should just make it. ;D ;D

All the best me hearties!

Sounds almost perfect, Serenity ...

Only two things (that I can think of) that we might want to ask:
1. How many "friends" seriously want to go on a Windjammer cruise?
and
2. Can we schedule it so that Guarrenzino's arrival coincides with our departure? ... ;)

All the best,
Richard

Well, if you think of us bringing our S.O.s, then it would only take 3 of us, wouldn't it? ;) :D
