Don't believe it!

After more than thirty years of living on the Gulf Coast, we had to leave. They did indeed take the sky away from us. And, with it all the clean air!

Now when I'm in Florida (on the Atlantic East Coast) and the wind blows out of the west (from the Gulf Coast), they are threatening to take the sky away from me again! ...  :(

So be prepared to fight for your sky, because they can take it away from you!

Well, in the mundane, real life sense, I have to agree with you.  However, those lines are from the Firefly/Serenity theme, so they refer to flying (or space travel in that case).  We're supposed to be good and not discuss politics, so I won't go into me feelings about the Gulf here  ;D but I'm a bit disturbed that they're opening up restaurants and getting tourist things going again ... I'd be staying away from that water for awhile

I've been meaning to tell you, ever since I told my husband about your post, he's been calling me "Mal"  ;D
