Remains of an ancient fortress

Hi everyone,

Once again my wife was kind enough to help me out with some nice photos of my most recent Playmo creation.  When making this scene I used the Baron's Fortress (3665) and then expanded upon that idea.  After I was finished however I figured it would be a good place for thieves and outlaws to hide.  So instead of a fortress for an evil baron it turned into a hang out for a band of merry men.

Also of interest perhaps is that I don't currently have any of the Merry Men sets, so I decided to just make one of my own.  I finally got the "Han's On" method to work and you'll see my first creation using it featured here in the scene.  I hope you enjoy it!

That's a great fortress custom and figure, too.  The ruin reminds me of the follies you find in the grounds of English country houses, romantic ruins built to add atmosphere to the place.  And the figure could well be a genuine Playmobil one. And as for the photos, well they're magnificent.

Very nice fortress and the custom does look like it just fell out of the box! Kudos to your wife for the excellent photos (I wonder if my camera can focus like that?)

excellent custom, congrats!
Is is a coincidence that the fence is the same height as the run walls, if it is done on purpose then i want to give an extra kudos to you're wife.

Thanks, those are some beautiful pictures of a great little old fort .  . It really does show how well you planed out the scene . Keep up the great effort

Great ruin - I really like the way you used the broken wall between the large tower on the rock and the smaller tower on the floor.  :love:

Wow, looks pretty good. I especially like the way you integrated the rocks into the castle (obviously it was the other way round, but anyway :P)

Very well done. Seems a very nice place to take a rest.
