Did anyone see the movie "Last of the Mohicans" about ten years ago?

I remember Kevin Costner sniping injuns at about 300 meters with a smooth bore, round-shot musket.

I can remember the at least 32 shot revolver Kit Carson had in the Saturday morning movies at the old Savoy Cinema.  (And, yes, they were black and white but, no, they weren't silent!)

I like the preview!  I can't wait until the "movie" debuts.  The pirate captain, however should really have used a musket with only one shot.  Also, although I like the new Spanish Conquistadors, they don't really fit with the late 18th century dress of the pirates.  Playmobil confuses their pirate historical periods as their klickies date anywhere from the mid 16th century to the mid 19th century!

Daniel Day Lewis was in Last of the Mohicans, not Kevin Costner.  As his name implies, I'm willing to give Hawkeye the benefit of the doubt and say that he was using very accurate, long, "Kentucky" rifles, was a very good shot, and that the distance was less than 300 meters. ;)

Hey, wait a minute, I've seen this Playmobil movie before.  It's been on the German site for over a year.

In the longer movie, treasure chest pirates are captured, imprisoned in the lighthouse, and when their buddy pirates come to rescue them, that's when the game starts.

The game involves firing cannon balls at conquistador ships and giant octopuses.

Fantastic movies.
Lame games...

More like twen'y years ago (fifteen, actually -- about fifteen), and it was Daniel Day-Lewis ::)

'Love that movie! Red coats in the middle of eastern coast North American indians in a valley ... And North East American mountains (Atlas, if not mistaken) quite look like the Petropolis mountains, in Rio de Janeiro State, Brasil ... It must be the Atlantic side looks ...

It's funny, too, to see English battery shouting "prepare ... fire!", while English soldiers were preparing, indians were hiding behind trees ... After they had shot, indians attacked, of course! Soon, white men must have learnt that "shoot at will" would be much more efficient, because indians attacked at will ... Even so, were anihilated by us. (In the "13 States", and here as well.)

A very nice movie, in which I also learnt the origin of the word Yankee (from how indians called the way French called the English, but the indians of that region probably didn't speak the "l", so, "les anglaises" became " 'e-ang'aise", "eeangeese" and, later, "yankee" ... 8} )

I have it here. It's a tiring movie to watch (lots of people runing upwards ...), but I still watch it, now and again ...

It was the funny part of the "literature" (read "cinema" ...), Daniel Day-Lewis was running, every indian enemy didn't get him a single shot, but he, running, took the rifles of the guys he killed, and, one on each hand, shot, jumping, the next two that appeared on the way, and he actually got them killed, and took their rifles to go on doing the same, up to the climax, ... (which was the fight between "the last of the Mohicans" and the bad guy, don't remember his tribe, but he pretended to be a Mohawk ...)

Two shots from a single-barreled flintlock pistol?  ;D

Oh NO!!! Hadn't noticed that!!! >:(

That's too much!!! :hissyfit:

Spaniards from XVth century TOGETHER with XVIIIth century pirates!
Spanish Capitán with the WRONG HAT!!
& TWO SHOTS WITHOUT RELOADING THE GUN!!!

What do they take me for??!

 >:( >:( >:(
:hissyfit:

 :( :'(

...

Still, there are nice things in the movie ...
