This concludes DINOS ON LOCATION

It has been quite an adventure.

First, there was the accidental bite by an Iguana.

Then when it was time to review the Volcano (4170), a real volcano erupted on Montserrat covering everything with volcanic ash. (Needless to say, the Playmobil volcano went back into the box.)

We had a surprise visit from a real Iguanasaurus which we were able to capture.

And, finally we were threatened by a real tropical storm.

I would like to thank the seven Playmofriends who voted to make this very different kind of review a reality.
Thank you ... Lars, Socrates, Jimbo, Timmy, Tim, Geppetto and Martin!

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to go on with your continued interest and your very generous words of praise. (In addition to the "seven" ... Gus, Macgaver, Rasputin, Sylvia, Anne and Andi!)

And, a very special thank you to Martin (our moderator) who bent the rules a bit, so that we could bring you this review as a great adventure!

The last photo in this Review are the Playmobil Dino sets that were used!

Thanks again everybody and all the best,
Richard

sounds near the base camp, a carnivore seeking for breakfast...

I just finished reading Doyle's "Lost World" and you perfectly illustrated it.  :wow:

Thank you very much for your expedition and these wunderful (not to say magical) pictures you have taken...

I'm very happy that you enjoyed the expedition.

Maybe we should do Pirates on Location when I come back to the islands in October ...  :klickywink:

All the best,
Richard

:'(  I am sad that the "Dinos on Location" story/review has come to an end - I enjoyed it so much.

I do like the idea of a "Pirates on Location" review next year!  I think you have set an entirely new standard for set reviews, Richard.   :wow:

I was also a bit sad to have to say goodbye to Dino Island. Although, I must admit, I'm rather excited about the idea of doing a Pirates on Location review.

Thank you for your comment about my "setting a new standard for set reviews." However, I can't really take the credit for that. Martin really created the first story/review with his 4292 Pirate celebration in July!

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard

If Playmobil makes some new Dinosaurs, I promise to do a DINOS ON LOCATION II (If you will do the actual set reviews , as you did for the first DINOS ON LOCATION) ...  :klickywink:

Thanks again, Andi. And, as I said before, it was because of your GREAT reviews, that I asked my family to please give me Dinosaurs for my birthday.

All the best my friend,
Richard

Thank you Richard, for your wonderful story and excellent photos. I really looked forward to your continuing narrative and to seeing the Playmobil in such colorful settings. The ability of Playmobil to spark such creative endeavours is testament to its play value and versatility. Thanks for the effort and for sharing with us.

I had missed that one somehow - very amusing!  Thanks for the link.

Sending a big "Thank you!"to all of the folks who take the time and effort to prepare reviews and share their thoughts and photos with the rest of us!
