Good to hear you are ok and nice to see the first expedition photos. I am quite certain you will run into some descendents of the dinos on your trip.  ;)

DINOS ON LOCATION

The weather has continued to cooperate!

Today we began our search for an uninhabited and deserted island.

We have a great pilot. Her name is Usha. She learned to fly when she was only a teenager in India. Her father is a highly respected Rajah and a very influential politician.

It's fun for me to just sit in the back and look around for an island to explore.

Hopefully, before the end of this week, we'll find our "Dino" island.

We attached a couple of photos for everyone to see.

In the first photo you see us using the pool deck for a smooth take off.
(We missed the flagpole.) ...  :klickygrin:

In the second photo we're heading out for our first day of exploration

Michael and Tim, thank you both for your concern and good wishes. Unlike Timmy's scenario, we're not totally buried with volcanic ash like the victims of Mount Vesuvius (at least not yet) ... :klickygrin:

With all the great moral support that we've received from our Playmofriends, this Dino Expedition is sure to be a great success.

We're hoping that we can find a deserted island close enough for us to be able to drive the AWD/AT amphib to it. Otherwise, we're going to have to do a lot of walking once we get there.

Usha is a great pilot so, fingers crossed, we hope that we'll find our Dino island soon.

WE FOUND DINO ISLAND !!!

We set out this morning and found an "uninhabited and unexplored" island that may be close enough for us to use the AWD/AT amphib!

Tomorrow (if the weather holds) we'll try to reach the island using the AWD/AT amphib from set 4175.

Again with throwing your plane Richard  :lol: i guess you are getting quite talented at catching it , i do not see a single scratch anywhere . I love the back drop you chose, it makes such a simple toy so beautiful  :love:

:klickygrin:  Usha is great pilot, so we've been able to fly into some very amazing places with our little bi-plane.

Thanks, Rasputin!  That's the "uninhabited and unexplored" island that we are actually going to visit.


And ... With the first of the three storms fast approaching, we thought that we had better take our AWD/AT Amphib out today to see if we can make it to the island.

Was the area as deserted as it appears in the photos or did you manage to snap these quickly before some tourists came into view? :)
