That sure looks a lot like a dixie cup to me, Jimbo ...

I also remember all the different shapes that they were bent into by all the different swabbies ...  :klickywink:

Can you take some closeup photos of the one that you rounded up?
Hi Richard,
Looks fairly close to a Dixie cup, but the back of the hat is a bit low...(just had a flash back..
low is normal).  If I can find another one, I may see what can be done to make it look
like what I have in mind.

I think Knightmo can help with the close up pictures..

You are certainly right about the shapes that poor hat was bent in!
Best regards
Jumbo

And, here are three more variations, Jimbo. Interesting how some people wear their dixie cup ... ;)

Interesting selection of sailor hats, Richard :yup:.
I especially like the new and improved uniform the WAVE had.
It must be one of Admiral Zumwalt's uniform changes for the
enlisted women personnel. 8} ;D

Thanks for posting.
Best regards,
Jimbo

Jimbo, did you mean, " IT just may work!"

Is it possible that your reply was a Freudian slip? ...  ;D

All the best my friend,

When I read what you wrote, "I just may work!"  I was wondering that after seeing the "new" WAVE uniform, that you might be thinking about re-upping. And, that you just might want to leave Arizona and go back to work for the Navy ...  ;D

I wouldn't mind visiting, but I don't think I want to stay.  Besides I'm having too much fun being
an Admiral in my Playmobil Navy than I would have being a seaman recruit again! ;D

With this "sunny " weather we are having, the seashore sounds real good though!

Anchors aweigh,  :)
