I'm surprised that an old salt like you dropped anchor in a dry port.

Back on topic: Has Jimmy had time to take some photos of the Chinese hat that I keep thinking that we could file off the top bump, paint and use as a sailor's white hat?

I should see Jimmy  Saturday..Hopefully we'll get some pics, and if I can find a duplicate hat,
I can start building "hat, plan B".

About settling in a dry port..what in the world was I thinking! ???

Hi Richard, saw Jimmy today.(Sunday). We took some pictures... he sent them to his
house to digitally cut the "stem" off and color it white.  He has all the whizzbangs to do
that stuff.  Actually one of the pictures looks very much like the white hat...the top
view.
 
I still need to dig into my Playmobil hat box, and see if I have a spare.

The adventure continues...

I have the whizzbangs, but Im having a tough time summoning the whizzskills to do it. Changing the color is easy. but chopping off the nob is proving difficult. :-\

It looks exactly like a swabby's white hat! What does your dad think?

I'm really excited about making a mould and casting up a bunch. Next project is the jumper flap.

Playmobil gave us a start on the flap custom with one of the new Roman Klickys.
