Some pics of part of my (very small) collection
« on: June 20, 2008, 03:25:29 »
I'm fairly a newbie at Playmobil this time around and only have maybe 10-15 figures, but they're all very cool.  My problem is I love a lot of toys so I have a hard time buying a lot of each type. :)  Anyway, here's a pic of some of my guys I have:

More pics of them unmasked along with other toys and stuff at my site.  Hoping to get around to unboxing more of these and taking pics this weekend.  Have some cool trick or treaters, another knight, and to tell you the truth, I forgot what else.  :hmm:  If you saw the boxes upon boxes of toys in the closet, you'd understand.

Anyway, just wanted to throw a picture up here in between browsing of other posts.  Lots of neat figures out there!

Well, that's nice!

They look very happy :)

I still have very little Playmobil, at the moment ... I have to admit that I like the many little bits, tools & such stuff. They're great to make scenaries ...

Thanks for showing us your Playmos, mr. master-of-the-island ;) ! :yup:

Thanks for posting your pic! :)9

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working today. :(
Perhaps your webhost doesn't allow hot-linked images?

I didn't get the opportunity to post a comment yesterday when I first looked at it, but I remember thinking it was a nice, varied selection of figures.

Hope you find the room to gradually expand your Playmo collection! :)

Hi O'Toys

I've been avoiding to take large spaces in the Playmofriends Photoalbum, and I've been using Martin's suggestion (Photobucket.com) ... But for individual pics, I still like to use our photos space in this forum. There's no way it can go wrong, after all, it's in here :)

Ah yeah.  I had done some work on my site and a few things got shuffled around.  I fixed the image now though.  Thank you for the comments.  :)

Nice set of figures!

There comes a point with collecting that you can't have all your figures out together any more, so small is still beautiful!

I agree Martin, I have 4 or 5 figures I try to keep out all the time and everything else is relegated to "the bins"!

I do not agree , there is something about having all the figures out and sets set up all over the place that has a unique beauty of its own . In my office it feels like you have just walked into somebody else's world and at any moment they will start moving . I had a problem at first finding space to walk around but i soon solved it with lots and lots of shelves . each shelf is dedicated to a theme or scene .  so i say put it all out for all to see and admire
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Hi Ras

What exactly is it you do?  Whatever it is, it sounds like you have a better job than most of us.

I do not think I have a better job . I here a lot of people in here displaying great educations and thought . I like to consider myself uneducated and illiterate in two languages but i am very competent. I started a business partnership with a third generation logger which got my start in the lumber industry . I put together a residential tree and landscaping business and am now sending my wife to school to become a landscape architect . Once i accumulated a lot of equipment i started doing odd demolition jobs then fire abatement work . we live in wine country so people are very interested in preserving their estates from fire . But my main interest is in real-estate subdivision. It is a rough life but owning my own business allows me to spend time with my family and any time i need to buy more playmobil i put in a few extra jobs or push my crew a little harder . I live on a small farm so if i ever need more room i just build it . I have a  2 story barn for all the boxes and a large detached office for the toys . I do wish more, or some playmobil fans lived near me as i also have a four car garage i want to set up stop-motion scenes in but it is not a lot of fun all alone .

My job is very rough and dangerous and i will never recommend it to any of my sons but it does provide well for our family ( it is in no way better ) It just happens that our society happened to overeducate my age group and there is a lack of self motivated, sober, honest, reliable, physical workers
