I'd noticed that too about the air pipe reaching to far down.
That and the missing hook makes it a prototype, even more so than than the grey colour.
The watches are real, i have two different ones......... in yellow.

The rope used for the "Grey" diver seems to be different from the normal "Playmobil" - rope as well. It looks more like the rope we use in and around the house.
I am convinced now that it was the prototype or some pre-production figure. After all - it has happened with the UPS-Special too !!! And remember the original red-house ??

Remember? -- I think I actually don't know anthing about a red house ... Is it the timbered one ??? ?


This diver (the yellow, of course) was one of the first I bought, in Portugal, in "the Golden Days" ... :)
