I take it the "Geobra company history" is on the right side for 16,95 ?
The company history isn't a bad deal. You get a lot of information about the early marketing and development strategies during the 1970s and early 1980s.
After that, the details soften up and the pictures take over. Controversial stuff--like the decision to go to system X or change the style of horses isn't mentioned. You get some good photos of manufacturing equipment, but nothing like a "day-in-the-life" in the process of designing a new Playmobil theme is addressed. Maybe stuff like that is considered trade secret.
It focuses on marketing, I'd say, and has the sunny-side-up flavor of a corporate brochure. But, I enjoyed reading it.
Does anyone have a critique of the world history book? It's not available through PM USA. Do they do a good job at the "customizing" for the scenes?
