White tigers more expensive than orange tigers
« on: June 03, 2008, 12:00:30 »
This is more like olds rather than news, but ever notice that the white tiger add-on pack is more expensive than the orange tiger, even though both sets contain the same figures?

I guess white tigers are just more rare in the wild...

They have to dye the orange plastic white. By hand.

In the UK DS catalogue, the prices are the same.

Whoops, I had it backwards:

The US, orange tigers are $9.99
The white ones are $8.99.

I guess that orange magic marker has pretty expensive ink.

That's the additional cost of dying them white and then back to orange.
