A very impressive layout, and the E-Train fits in very nicely, though there seems to be a health and safety issue with the door on the second carriage.

Awesome! I've had my eye on that one...hmmm what's your address >:D Just kidding! I hope you get it.

They are hard to find. I have two red ones that are e-train. I love 'em. I'd like to see what you do with yours (if get it).  Here's a pic of what I'm currently running.

Do you have other Faller trains?

I don't have any Faller trains yet -> It is actually your fault for showing that catalog picture, that I want these railbusses.

In Belgium in the past you had the regular railways and the smalltrack railways called the "neighborhood railways". These were originaly operated with steamtrams and later on with diesel and electric trams. From that vast network nothing remains all lines have been replaced by busses in the fifties and sixties .Only in the city of charleroi and in the coastal area of belgium have these lines been maintained. (The city of antwerp, ghent and bruxelles also have trams but these are diffferent companies).

With the faller trains I want to mimmick this situation, faller trains for the small track and lgb for the regular railways.

If your interested in the small track railway you should go to this site:
http://asvi.tram-way.be/index/index.htm. These guys maintain and operate a small part of an old line. the even built new rails and bridges!

Thanks Playmofire! The door was malfunctioning. Definitely a safety hazard. It's been repaired, inspected and is now back in service. I'm glad you pointed that out before some poor klicky fell to their death.
What's the point of going, if you can't get there on a train?

Oops! Sorry about that. I discovered e-trains two years ago and realized how well they would work with Playmobil. If you like the Faller toys you should also be on the lookout for Autoland and Playland sets (both from Faller). They work together as a system with the E-train / Playtrain sets.

They have been extremely difficult to find. I haven't seen very much outside of the Ebay.de website...

Hello, I'm putting the finishing touches on this scene/layout so I'll be taking pics very soon. I'll post a reply to this thread when I get some taken.  You let your son touch your Playmobil!!!!

Hi Arab Warrior! I have posted some new pictures as promised. Here's the link to the thread that I've started:

Very nice. I like the greenery hanging from the railing too. I was wondering what type of switch mechanism that is in the foreground of the picture. It looks like an LGB switch, but I've never seen a manual switch mechanism like that before.

Hi Pingo, I'm familiar with the 12010 switch drive, I think this might be something else. I don't see any electrical contact points (white and orange circles) and there is an arrow printed on the top of HighlandCattle's part. I was wondering if it was some very old LGB part, or perhaps from another manufacturer.
