For customizers: Osprey military books

Hi all!!

For all those who do not know of them, that there is a good collection of books, from Osprey Publications, that describe and illustrate in good detail military uniforms and armors ("Men-at-Arms" series), as well as battleships and fortifications ("Fortification" series) from all times, Ancient Greek to Falklands war, as much as I know. There are non-sancti ways to get them for free as pdfs.

Thanks for the link Phyrrus. I have quite a few of these, but never though to check for a website for the publisher.

Looks like I'll be learning about the Japanese Samurai armies, and also Qadesh and the Egyptians in 1300BC now!

Richard, you can find them in the eMule (downloadable from www.emule.com), searching for "Osprey". Much on Napoleonic, Union vs. confederates, Medieval, Condottieri, Ancient Greeks, Romans, Chinese and Japanese, all periods. Old and new, 70's to 2000's.

I got some many of them, write me anyone interested (pyrrhus@live.com.ar) if you can't use the eMule.

Osprey books are indeed a great resource!  I've got a number of them, although I haven't really tried to customize any klickies based on them.  That said, I'm using them as a resource while assembling my Romans and barbarian horde.  I'm also in the midst of creating both a Playmobil wooden and a stone legionary fortress based on a couple of their Roman fortification books.

i decide to revive this old pyrrhus' (we miss you  ) thread with a simple and selfish purpose - as i am a strict bnibtod (brand new in box and then oppened and displayed) collector i would like to incentivate customizers to bring themselves to the naval "world". 
so i am posting all (i think) osprey's covers related with piratical and napoleonic navies.
i hope this will work.
