It's SOOOOO vintage Playmobil that they are from BEFORE Geobra even existed.

:) maybe the past can turn out to be the future.
sometimes all that is needed is a little patent-war-pressure.
i guess that's why lego is going back to "natural" - http://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news-room/2015/june/sustainable-materials-centre
they started as a wood-toy company.
geobra started as a tin-toy company.
maybe aluminium will be the future of playmobil figures.
the technology is not that different - moulding and injection.
:hmm: coloring is an entire different subject though...

On the subject of Not Playmobil, one of these is My Little Pony and one is Playmobil, but which is which?

When our local Macdonalds did a Happy Meal promotion a few years ago, the signs read

MY LITTLE PONY
Tasty, but bony.

Maybe I misremembered it?
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

re: hairy horses: So Playmobil is now doing knockoffs of other companies' toy lines. We should start a new thread: Museum of Not-Not-Playmobil. And when the Chinese start doing knockoffs of PM knockoffs of MLP, then it will be time to produce the Baudrillard klicky.

It is so funny to read/hear geobra so aggressively legally attack other companies for even remotely resembling playmo and yet they sure love copying so many. Could geobra be any more hypocritical ? Yes is the answer  :P

I will dig out a few knockoffs that even tricked me.

I'd argue that PM/L*go is a separate beast. They are rivals from way back in the day. When they copy each other, it's to be expected.

PM copying MLP is weird and wrong.
