MORNING FLIGHT
« on: November 19, 2007, 17:31:51 »

Hello, all ...

It was so beautiful this morning that I decided to take the little bi-plane out for an early morning flight over the harbour!

The cruise ships were already in and the passengers were just beginning to come ashore for a look at our wonderful island of St. Thomas.

Just to the right of the tail of my aircraft is Frenchmen's Reef Hotel. Off to the left is Flag Hill. And, if you look just to the right, as you're coming down Flag Hill, you'll see what looks like five white utility poles. They are actually for an aerial tram that goes up to Paradise Point. At the bottom of Flag Hill (at the end of the aerial tram), there is another small hill. On this hill are a group of white buildings, with red roofs, gleaming in the morning sun ... That's Bluebeard's Castle!

This is the only picture that I took this morning, but if y'all want to see more of the island, I'll take some more photos the next time I take my little bi-plane up for another flight.

All the best,
Richard

Nicely done, Richard, a really lovely view.

You must have a really fast camera and finger to be able to throw the plane in perfect formation, grab the camera and get the shot  :camera: i just hope, for the sake of the toy you are fast enough to also catch them .
Great job .
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Ooops! ... :o

I wonder what happened to my reply to you, Gordon?

I thanked you and told you that there's no view like the view from a Playmobil bi-plane ... ;)

I wonder what happened?
Maybe I pressed the "Preview" button and forgot to press the "Post" button ...  :-[

Regardless, thank you for your generous and thoughtful comment, Gordon.

All the best,
Richard

Are you pulling a fast one on us, Richard?

Who is that really in the bi-plane???

No "fast one," Tim ...

I was in the Playmobil "photo" bi-plane taking the picture ... ;)

However, next time I'll be in the "other" bi-plane having MY picture taken ...  ;D

All the best,
Richard

Wonderful shot, Richard!
You truly are blessed to live in such a beautiful place. :)

I'm still kicking myself that I never bought one of these fantastic little planes when they were available as an add-on set at the official site. :-[

Does anyone know where I can get set 7726 in the UK for a reasonable price?
