At last! New free gifts!

The PM web shops in many countries have for a long time offered a free gift if you spend over a certain amount. For several years, the gift has been a choice between set 9855 and set 9854. (That white furled umbrella in 9855 and the pink lady herself have certainly been appearing on eBay very often as a result!).

This week, the offer has changed. If you spend over £35 on the UK site, you now get two free gifts from a choice of 23; 7 special plus sets and 16 Naruto figure sets. On the German site, you have to spend over 55€. The offer seems not to be available on the US site, sadly. I am not sure if you can mix parts and sets in an order to reach the qualifying amount.

This is a welcome change indeed!

My understanding (from having gone through to the point of sale to see what the '2 free gifts' that were being advertised) is that you get ONE figure from the choice of 23 and the other is either 9855/9854.

I suspect Naruto is not selling as expected?

I managed to choose two Naruto figures and they appeared in my basket. I haven't checked out though.

You're correct (well, unless it boots you out when you try to pay...) - you seem to be able to add 2 of the 'bonus' figures AND 9855/9854, so 3 free gifts (is there anything more on-brand for Playmobil than proudly advertising you get 2 free gifts when you actually get 3?  )

It's amazing how Man with portable bbq is in the same price bracket as one of the licenced figures which might only have a single accessory.

They probably have produced too many Naruto sideklicklies.

I bet they should get the license for something with characters composition similar to star wars, where collectors would buy a sheer amount of the same klickies, like white troopers.

The thing is Naruto actually has rank and file soldiers so they could produce a generic male and generic female figure to army build with, but no.
