I've just been on the UK site and you can only see any reference to these sets if you're logged in and search for them by part number.  Was this the case before?

 :(
from time to time i tend to forget that playmobil is not perfect.
i have no love for these sets.
these are not very far from the "etnische figuren" playmobil released some time ago (see picture attached).
i agree with you sylvia - mixing groups would be a nicer approach.
in "ordinary" sets - pirates as an example - there is no justification for the almost total lack of non-pink klickies.
i also agree with you richard - trying to characterize a group of people easily turns out as a poor caricature (can you imagine jewish klickies with noses?)
i don't like the way the hair is combed in the "asian" figures.
i don't like the white circles around "african" eyes (the only ones who have it).
it seems to me that this is a very poor effort from playmobil to be political correct - "um tiro no pé" to use a portuguese expression (a shot in the foot).
different skin colors - from dark brown to pale pink - would simply do the trick, as timotheos suggests.

It seems so now, but that wasn't the case before the odd shutdown of Halloween I posted about.

I originally found these just by looking at the DS stuff, though the pics didn't come up unless you clicked on the item to expand it.

Yesterday I was putting together a DS order, and couldn't find them anywhere on the site - but as you say, with the set number as given above, you can (supposedly) fast order them anway. I added some to my order to test, and they came up with the correct descriptions and prices, but I didn't actually order any this time round, so I don't know if they're really available or not.

My guess is they were put up briefly, but when the links didn't work properly they took them down again for maintainance, and they'll appear again soon. Meantime they can still be DS ordered using the set numbers.

I wish the Playmobil site had a "show me everything" choice. Searching by themes means you can easily miss something. From the farm theme I ordered a dovecote for my castle, and some sheep for my shepherd (he's only got a herd of one at the moment, poor chap).

Thanks for checking things out, Martin.

I wish the site had a "display new items" option.

Maybe a stupid question, but where are they sold in Germany? I looked at the German Web site, "Bestellkatalog" >> "Figuren" but they are not listed there.

If it's the same as in the UK, you have to login as if to buy and then search on the item number.

Weirder, I can only see them if I go to Playmobil UK, "Figures" in the "Accessories" section.

The three new families are not visible until I toggle "New" under the category filter list of checkboxes. Then they appear, but without pictures.

Maybe it's a bug because I'm using Firefox for web browsing.

These sets are not yet available for Playmobil USA, apparently.

Hello, Hoppatussa ...

OMG!!  I can't wait til these arrive in the US!!!  These are exactly what I have been writing Playmobil about for years... some ethnic folks!!!

It seems as if Playmobil may have actually been reading your mail! ...  :wow:

Maybe we should all ask you to put in a word or two for us, for some of the things that we would also like Zirndorf to produce ... ;)

Seriously, Hoppatussa ... I am very pleased that they made something that you wanted!

All the best,
Richard
