Hope you don't mind me asking a question on this old topic.  Are parts from the speedo & Super 7 torsos compatible?  (I have various speedo types but i don't think I have any Super 7) so can't try to see for myself.

Nope. It's completely annoying and stupid. Male speedo arms and the male Super 4 arms come close, but in my tests at the time, they are not a perfect fit.

& whether the parts are compatible or not, what about the wearables like skirts?  Can speedo types wear the skirt styles that came on (for example) klicky from the Spirit range?

Also no - unless they are the soft silicone type...

(reason I ask is because I'm getting 71736 - manager with dalmation,.  I assume she has a speedo body & wanted to know if the a -line skirts that came with some of the Spirit series would work with her body as I'm planning to use her as the base for a custom)

I don't have that (I generally find those "clothes" ugly) - but seems to be plastic, so, I don't think so.

Spirit series use speedo bodies, at least the ones with removeable skirts. Miraculous uses Super 4 bodies by the looks of it. The male character with blond hair appears to have the same torso as Gene from Super 4.

No, (apart from a couple of normal klickys) the Spirit/Waterfall and Miraculous themes use Super4 bodies for the males,  and spirit bodies for the females (same as the super 4 fairies - I decided to name them that way, as explained in the article.. Tahrese?  :P )

It's silly how there are essentially 3+ different doll types now under the brand of playmobil and only their accessories are compatible.

Now we also have "spirit speedos" = that pretty "naruta", and most ayuma females..  arms and heads same as spirit (females), but the torso and legs are unique.

I need to make a longer article/rant on this. Or make a workshop :P

Sorry, the Spirit ones are Super 4 types which is why they come with the rubber skirts. Just checked with one I was able to get at. The rubber skirt should fit on the speedo body fine but the speedo stuff doesn't fit on the Super 4s.

Oh great! Thanks for the info, that's very helpful!

Do it!

Are there any normal printed heads which are workable with the Spirit female klickys? I mean, I'm not sold in the bodys, but at least if there were some classic printed heads which fitted i could work with them, I just can't abide the Spirit Ayuma, & Naruto  style faces.  :0

If you look at the article, there is a photo of the existing heads - completely different.

I believe there aren't any more than those 3? (which is 2 too many >:()

Thanks, I did look at & read the whole thing, but wasn't sure if they'd bought any others out since you did that that have that structure, but with the classic style faces.

I have bought some of the Spirit ones now (just so I can make this darn custom), so I guess I'll see how I feel about the weird face screening in person, & whether I want to keep them or not.  ::) 8}

I know tahra has expounded on this before but I'm surprised at the variations in the positions of the facial printing. I thought these things were printed by machine so the position should be exactly the same every time. I got two Falbala's from the Asterix range and one appeared to have a thinner mouth. Nope, it turns out the face was printer lower so the mouth was further down the curve of the face towards the neck and just looked thinner - Salvador Dali would love the printed faces.

Most of the printed faces on the non normal heads are not in place. With the spirit ones it is RARE to be in place. They all look like idiots. :(

You can sometimes pick up classic heads on eBay if you want to swap out some of those printed ones. I think the heads are compatible with all body types? Don't shoot me if I am wrong, I haven't kept up with the variety of body styles.
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Thanks, I have a box full of spare classic heads, but because the Spirit types have that weird long neck post & different body construction (see Tahra's photos comparing them here) they won't work.   :wall:  Guess i'm stuck with stupid Spirit faces, or they're going to my pile to sell/trade/gift.

Oh, my sweet summer child...  :P   (no shooting!)

It's completely stupid and pointless (and I believe it does send the wrong message, having klickys that seem to be starving)...  >:(
