I am pretty confident I have never seen so many grasshoppers together! It's great what you did with them, really goes to show there would be potential for a proper "children book of old" theme, with gnomes and whatnot.

Speaking of which, your rabbit collection is also delightful! I find it really cute how you created families, each with a backstory of its own.

I couldn't agree more about the vintage children's book theme Plamocollector & GrahamB (I'm calling it "forest folk").  One of my many other interests is children's book illustration, a lot of what I love is more modern vintage (50's/60's/70's) but I have a soft spot for older work too - like the Fritz Baumgarten work I posted images of.  I can see various pre-existing Playmobil fitting into it - the Alpine/Tyrolean stuff, the rabbits, animals, gnomes, some of the fairys (mushroom boy would be perfect & I'm ALL IN for a whole mushroom hat family, I would freak if mushroom boy finally got a family ).   It'd be a good way to get more accessories pieces from the Victorian & medieval (farm?) sets too (bonnets, the water girl, blacksmith, etc).

I guess in some ways it might be seen as crossing over into Sylvanian territory a bit (anthropomorphised animals) but Sylvanian's always make me think of lots of classic children's books like Wind in the Willow's, Paddington, Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter's work, classic fairy tales, Rupert the Bear, etc, etc, & has a much longer history anyway.

Quick photos of one of my more recent & larger arrivals.  I've had the family vacation home A frame building for quite a while now, so I was excited when I saw the A frame camping lodge come out.  It has taken me a while to get it, but I'm happy I did.  I love the vacation home, but it feels a little strange without a kitchen or bathroom, so at least alongside this, they have everything.

That's a new take on the classic Vacation home! I'm not sure I like the cutaway roof quite as much as the big window in the old version for getting access to the interior. I wonder if the window pane of the newer version fits the hole in the roof of the older one?

I prefer the 3230 A frame house too!  The window on the camping lodge is a lot smaller (camping lodge window is 10.5 W x14cm H, the open window on the vacation home is 14 W x 18 H cm).  It's a shame they aren't more in tune with each other, but they look cute lined up next to each other.

I'm not sure what the deal is with both buildings yet, I think maybe some of my klickies live in the 3230 A frame full time + run a small campsite with workshops & activities for kids AND adults (but it seems a little inconvenient having to share the bathroom & kitchen with all the other campers, but not sure if there is a better solution than sharinf the campsire bathroom & kitchen).    

& in case anyone is inclined to ask, NO, it's NOT a "glamping" site, because, along with other things like "wild swimming" that phrase makes me feel slightly murderous

I bought a large coil of white rubbery tubing from an eBay seller at much lower cost than DS. It's almost identical to PM tubing, though slightly off-white in colour. If you are interested, I'll hunt out the seller.

The nearest to PM tube is white, I/D (internal diameter) 2.0mm, £13.49 for 10 metres.

The genuine Playmobil tubing on playmofire's list is
30892930 50cm white hose, 45p
which works out at only £9.00 for 10 metres.

So, unless you want pieces longer than 50cm, its cheaper to buy the PM version!

Thank you! I doubt I need anywhere NEAR that much, but it's very helpful to have the link (I might want some of this in a smaller size & in various colours at some point for other things I make).
