Can this torso be found in a set?
« on: June 10, 2019, 08:21:59 »
Hi all !

I was planning on recreating the clicky from the Playmobil World MMO trailer, but was unsure as to what torso he has, or if it is even from an actual set .
The torso looks like scale armour, but its on a blue body, which I thought was strange  ???

I think his legs are common enough I might be able to find them somewhere  (I think they're from the French Soldiers, but can't tell if the boots are red, brown or orange :-\ every shot in the trailer they look different )

Would be a lot of help if I could get some help identifying it  ;D
Thanks !  :)

If you select the Knight's theme in a search for klickies on playmodb, you'll get this list:

https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/klicky_theme.pl?theme=Knights

There I found two klickies with torsos that could match your picture, there could be more examples, I just did a quick search  ;)

https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-00-1222

https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-00-6732

=> Per klicky you can see a list of sets in which the klicky appears.

... Or is it a klicky wearing a breastplate like this?
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

I don't think that is a real torso... Unless it is forthcoming (there's SO much great stuff on the way..)

It's a scale mail print over a blue torso. I don't think this exists in plastic yet. Red and lime green are common colours and blue torsos with other armour prints exist. Legs, particular with the red arms reminds me of the 90s era guards that came with the prison cart.

Thank you ! It's funny how often it appears on red, but not blue

That's very true, I didn't think of that. I think I might use a scale breastplate then when making it, as that seems to be the most "screen-accurate"  ;D

Hmm it's funny how a (planned) Playmo Game had pieces that weren't even available for purchase then  But you're right, more stuff to look forward to  ;D , personally excited for the new bascinet helmet, will be a nice addition, although I have quite a few misgivings with the new 'Novelmore' line....

Ah I thought I recognised it from somewhere  ;D I think one of the pirates from 3939 has, at least similar, legs too
