Hiya, papaya!
« on: February 21, 2019, 20:04:57 »
Salutations!

I'm Chris, from Seattle, USA, and I'm a new member!

Like many in the USA, I first encountered Playmobil in 1982 when McDonals's had Playmobil Happy Meal toys. My sister and I demanded that we eat at McDonald's each week so that we could collect each new toy. We got the sheriff, the Indian, and the horse before the toys were recalled and our fun ended. I was way into space toys, being a child of the original Star Wars and the first wave of Space LEGO, so I soon got into Playmospace as well. But the scarcity of Playmobil in the USA back then led to my interest waning - until recently. I found a picture of some Roman soldier klickys online and was immediately re-addicted! Now I'm collecting all the Roman sets I can find, and working on some custom klickys. I'm looking forward to sharing my new obsession with you all and learning more about the world of Playmobil!
Chris

:hatoff: Another PNW collector, one who got hooked by McD's back in the day, and is now  into Romans too!  :roman:  We may be at least partially related. I am all ears for all PM Roman related discussion.

Welcome to Playmofriends!
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)
