It looks great, but how does it get moved? It looks like it might attach to a car. I don't see any handles for pulling it or way to attach an animal to it. Interesting too they went for a tyreless wheel.

If you look at the front end (the non-door end) you can see one of the handles for moving it resting on the X-shaped piece of wood keeping it level.  There would be a similar handle on the other side.

It would be moved by hand as it would only ever be moved short distances around the farmyard or a field.

At the most, the wheels might have had iron tyres shrunk on to them, but because the hen house is never moved far, wood rims are just as satfisfactory.

Does that make any sense to anyone? a mobile chicken house? Cause it doesn't to us...  It was very disappointing.

I feel like I've seen things like this in real life. I'm not sure if they have historical precedents, but I think I've seen miniature shepherds huts, for painfully middle class chicken owners

There's a reason why those mobile coops exist:

"Most folks keep their chickens in a “classic” coop and run, but that just so happens to be one of the most labor intensive, and unsanitary methods for raising chickens."

I think it really fits in a Western diorama, unfortunately it cannot be transported by a donkey for instance... It looks like it has to be a tractor, but maybe there's a way to fix this.

Thank you all for explaining... :)  I had no idea. Now I might want it :-[

How about having it still in the dio, I mean NOT moving ;)

The handles I pointed out in my earlier post would be perfectly adequate for moving it by hand in human terms, although the design of them doesn't seem to have taken this into account for a klicky's hand as you would expect as it's Playmobil.  In fact, with a couple of pieces of sprue you could fit a handle or handles to the front (non-door) end of the coop.

The handles I pointed out in my earlier post ...

I don't see any handles. The pole at the front appears to end similar to a trailer hitch with a drop down circular opening.
I think bml87 is right, it's designed to be pulled by a modern farm tractor.

Any guesses what the holes either side of the pole are for?

Just realised that this is basically the chicken version of the old sheep cart - which had nice handles at the end. They look to be a similar size.

I think you're right.  Looking very closely it does seem to be a central pole and not a handle on the side.    :-[

I tried to focus on the end of the pole and it really looks like it has to be moved with a tractor. But there might be ways to change it of course.

Make the hole bigger, cut off a bit of flagpole or similar and push it through. There are green flagpoles but I think they're a lighter green but most colours would work.
