Tahra,
I sent this off to my contact at Playmobil, I too have had brand new sets arrive with scuffing. Maybe they will be able to make some changes. All we can do is advise and wait and see.
Please do let me know if you get any feedback. If they are like the "top", unlikely. They were quite clear on that.
I am thinking on how to go about this. I mean, boxes are usually ridiculous, but this is outrageous! I can't believe it's just me. And note that we could probably fit another 3 dragons there, with the wings not attached.
Besides that, having to clean a brand new set... It's a disgrace. It HAS happened before, like you said, but this made the set unusable. NOT acceptable for a set bought new.
If stuff was properly bagged AND/OR in a proper box, this wouldn't happen (ok, if that moronic blue bag was included, it might, but damages would be quite limited). It's an insult to us. Besides being wasteful and all that. Oh, and good luck finding a box in good condition. Not to mention the high chances of getting broken parts. The first pyramid had a broken part when I opened it. Brand new. Another stupid box, with the parts rattling about...
I LOVE playmobil. That is why this makes me so mad. And sad.
