more red sashimono(s) with gold crests

Sashimono were (small banners worn by samurai soldiers in feudal Japan, for identification during battles)
were attached to the backs of the chest armor were most prominent during the Sengoku period (a long period of civil war from the middle 15th to early 17th century.)

Excellent customs again, cheng, but it must have been quite awkward fighting with a flagpole on our back.

the samurai with the biggest (not golf  :P ) handicap probably carried the largest banner and rode the fastest horse  :lol:

I've always liked the way those back-flags look. Very dramatic. Time to watch some Kurosawa again!

sometimes I'm worried that reminiscing and hero-worshipping these reruns might pull me back into and away from our current society....ust like collecting playmobil in this part of my world, at my age....like some sort of weirdo? :P

......anyone can identify ti gold "kamon"(logo) in my new red flags?  :)
