Fledglings School

With the exception of the world map in one classroom (https://pixabay.com/), and a poster (http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/USIM4531/default.htm) and the letters (http://www.printmini.com/index.html) on the Staff Information Board, all school signs and posters are from:

Both the above resources are available full-size for school and home use.

And now....

This is Fledglings School.

The school caters for Year 1 through to Year 6.  Children begin school in the Ducklings Class.

'As Ducklings we learn the basics of what we need to know for the future.'

Then they move to the Owl Class.

'In order to become a Wise Owl, we need to gather knowledge.'

The next class is the Kingfisher Class.

'Like Kingfishers darting to and fro, we seek out what we want to know.'

Year 4 is the Lapwing Class

'Soaring high like a Lapwing, we seek a wide view of our world.'

Next is the Eagle Class

'As Eagles, we fly higher still, and learn more and more.'

And, finally, Year 6 is the Raven Class.

'Like the Raven in mythology, the Bringer of Wisdom and the Speaker of Truth, we express our thoughts and imagination, while also increasing our factual knowledge.'

The school also has a Sports Hall:

And everything is well looked-after by the Caretaker.

And there is, of course, a Staff Room so that the teachers can have times of refreshment!

I love it Raven
Your attention to detail with all the worksheets and posters is amazing.
The collection of scissors and paintbrush in mugs behind the sink in the owl class reminded me of my classroom.

Wow, that's so awesome!

Love the pencil duel :)

And the green teacher.. And the caretaker's place..

And the balls in the gym all stored in that thing...

Very inspiring, Raven

Another magnificent creation Raven! You must have trebled the size of the 'standard' PM school, 4324. My favorite bit was the caretaker called a Caretaker (like we called them at Primary School, not Janitor or Custodian or Site Manager or whatever!).

The classes named according to the personalities/ mythology of the birds was inspired (and easily beats Quartz, Diamond, Ruby, Amethyst, Emerald, Aventurine (whatever that is), the names of the classes at our local Primary School- which is an excellent school in most respects I must add).

I am running a sweepstake on your next project... Airport, Children's Play Centre, Hotel.... any other suggestions anyone?
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Gooooorgeous!!!

I really like the names of the classes and how you described them. And the attention to detail, of course. There HAS to be a teacher's lounge, and a caretaker, and a front office and a gym...

Beautiful building too  :) Congratz!

Great looking school, really nicely complete. Too bad it takes sooo much Playmobil to make a proper sized building, but you really made the proportions of the spaces look right.

^  I had originally planned to also include a Music Room, Assembly Hall, Dining Area, and a Playground with Climbing Frames etc .... but I didn't have enough space on the table!  I'd also wanted about 12 children to a classroom but, again, not enough space to make the classrooms any larger.

Well, I did recently buy a secondhand Airport ... but the next 'big' thing will be another Toby story.  After he rode a pony at the children's zoo, he wanted one of his own - though, actually, the story will be more about moving house, than about his pony......  :)

(And, by the way, Toby is a student at this school.  He's in one of the classrooms, and not wholeheartedly paying attention.)

However, that will be 'eventually' - before that, I really need to do some Playmobil storage reorganisation.....
