Part 8 - More Rides for Toby (and Mummy)


'And now: the elephants!' said Toby, happily.



'They've got toys!' he said.



'I love elephants,' said Toby, 'And .... and .... we can RIDE on them!'



'12 Playmolians for adults, 8 for children,' said the Ride Attendant.



'Wait at the entrance for the Guide to call you across.'



'This way,' said the Elephant Guide.



'Daddy! Yoohoo! We're having a wonderful time up here!' called Toby.



'Daddy,' said Toby, 'Can I have a toy elephant, please?'

Daddy shook his head, 'I already said No about the toy giraffes, remember.'

'But you also said it was different if I'd had a ride on the animal,' said Toby.

'Did I really say that?' said Daddy.

'Yes, you did,' said Mummy.



'Come on, then, Toby,' sighed Daddy.



'Thank you, Daddy,' said Toby, 'Look, Mummy, isn't it a lovely elephant?'



'Will you put it in your bag please, Mummy?' requested Toby.



'I can't remember what we are going to see next,' said Mummy, 'So we'll have a nice surprise.'

'It's not animals!' exclaimed Toby.

'There are ride-on vehicles for adults too,' said Mummy, 'It does look rather fun.  Let's all have a go, shall we?'



'There'll just be a short wait until this group has finished,' said the Ride Attendant.



'Well, we may as well go and look at the next animal exhibit while we are waiting,' said Mummy, 'Then we'll come back.'

'Oh, it's crocodiles!' she said.



'And hamburgers,' said Toby, 'You know, I think I've got space for a hamburger.'

'We'll have ice-creams soon,' said Mummy, 'So you save your tummy space for that.'



'I want to drive a racing car,' said Toby, 'What are you going to drive, Daddy?'

'I'm not driving anything,' said Daddy, 'I'll wait here.'



'Here, Daddy, look after my bag again,' said Mummy.



'I'm overtaking you, Toby!' called Mummy.



'But I'll beat you round the corner,' Toby called back.

Part 9 - Daddy at the Waterpark


'I can hear music,' said Mummy,  'Oh look: here's a band.'

'Mummy,' said Toby, 'Why won't Daddy join in with anything?  Doesn't he like us anymore?'

'Of course he likes us!' said Mummy, 'He loves us! He's ... er ... just ... um .... making sure that you and I have enough money to spend.'

'But he and you could take turns at going on rides and things,' said Toby.



'What's in here?' wondered Toby.

Behind him, Mummy spoke in a low voice to Daddy:

'Toby thinks that you won't join in with him on rides because you don't like him anymore.  Please show him some friendship, and reassure him.'



'Let's go and have a look,' said Toby.



'Looks interesting,' he said.



'That must be fun,' said Toby.



'There's a whole swimming pool here!' said Toby, 'I wish we'd brought my swimming trunks.'



'And there's swingboats!  I'd like to go on a swingboat!'

'Go on a swingboat with him,' said Mummy to Daddy, 'And SMILE and look like you are enjoying yourself with him!'



'We have to pay,' said Daddy, and he didn't add 'of course'.

'I want to go on the green swingboat,' said Toby.



'The green one, sir? Yes, certainly,' said the Ride Attendant.



'Are you ready, Toby?' said Daddy.



'Then off we go!'



'Can I go on the Chair-O-Planes too, please?' asked Toby.

'You'll need to purchase another ticket, sir,' said the Ride Attendant.



'Keep hold of the bar, Toby,' said Mummy.



'Wheeeee!' said Toby.



'We could come back again tomorrow with our swimming costumes,' suggested Toby.

'No dear, I think that's rather an expensive way to go swimming,' said Mummy, 'We'll do something else tomorrow.'



'We're near the ice cream parlour again now,' said Mummy, 'So I think we should go and have our ice-creams.'



'Chocolate ice-cream is my favourite!' said Toby.

Finally Daddy is loosening up a bit!

Poor Daddy! So much money, but it´s also soo much fun! (for us)

I love the Elephant House! 

It looks marvellous!

Yes I meant to mention that yesterday.  Great use of the church parts for the elephant house. It looked  great.
