You did a fantastic job Tim!  I love the Ice Cream Shop and how you hooked everything together to make the semi-circular inlet.

The Hotel was awesome!  I wish I had as many building pieces to be able to create things on grand schemes.  But I shall just continue collecting parts as I go...
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

I'm a little late to the party, oops!

Really nice work. The attention to detail here is quite incredible. Some great pictures too. :)

I love it when a grand scheme comes together. :D It does take time to collect up enough things, and in the case of the hotel a good ebay win. The nice thing about schemes is that you have somewhere to go, being able to target your spending is helpful. My problem is that my schemes are sometimes too grand.

Thanks for the additional comments all :)

Your going to laugh at this, but what engine is that on the floor pulling the cargo cars on plastic track?

Laugh? No tat all, i will simply congratulate you on your discerning eye and refined taste. It is 4085 RC-Mega Güterzug-Set the German exclusive set from a few years ago. It comes with that diesel style RC engine in light orange and the old MAN style cargo crane in grey instead of the usual yellow. I managed to get it used and mostly complete (missing a couple of track sections and a few parts for the container car and loose accessories) only with the help of my good friend Stephane in Belgium (current member of the month at PCC) at a reasonable price, as good or really even a better than the price of train sets on eBay. It runs beautifully and pulls quite a nice payload on the plastic tracks. My first RC set and very happy with it.

Great work. I was really surprised to see the whole thing at the end because the earlier pictures make it look huge thanks to all the details you've done and the way you laid it out. Interior hotel shots look amazing.

I still think if playmobil thinks the big land bases are viable then so are more construction pieces.
