Merry Men's Feast
« on: April 25, 2016, 23:32:26 »
Just got mine. Boy is this ever a cool set. There's a narrative to it but it's flexible (no "angry" faces) and there are enough parts to play out various scenarios. It's exactly the kind of cultural set I think they should do more of. Famous themes from European history, but with a fun touch.

WHAT A COOL SET. I AM GLAD I GOT ONE BEFORE THEY VANISH.

I really enjoy mine, as well. I'd like to get another monk & tree, so maybe I'll try ordering another in the near future. I understand this may be easier said than done.

Oak trees show up on ebay all the time - I think I have three now. And don't forget set 3631 for another take on the priest figure! (Actually I think the 6464 guy is a Dominican and 3631 is a Franciscan. That's my take anyway.)

Sigh... 3631 is certainly wonderful but expensive - I see ones on Ebay for $33 & on Amazon for $70.

Just keep a watch on it and a cheap one will turn up. I didn't pay that much for mine. Fluke deals happen because PM isn't as popular as e.g. L*go.

Just noticed that the Feast is called "Group of Outlaws" on PM.us. How very modern!

A pity it had such a short run, one of the best sets of this theme.

Yeah, it was very frustrating when I was trying to find it via search because it wasn't coming up with any of the keywords I tried. I hope it comes back in stock.

(Dear Playmobil US, please let me fix your search.)

The Tailor's Shop is now unavailable - that was next on my list.

I clicked on "add reminder" - hopefully enough will do that to bring more stock over? Just an idea...

Hi!

This new merry men's feast from the DS catalog (set #6464)... is it exactly the same (color, pieces, etc..) as the original (set #3627)

Thanks!
