My 1st Birthday - 1 Year Collecting
On May 6th I celebrate 1 year of collecting Playmobil.  :cham: My adventures in Klicky Land began when I ordered 4768 Lion Knight with Training Dummy from Amazon. Little did I know what I was about to begin...

Today I have approx. 177 different sets, 66 Fi?ures, & few extras. This very roughly averages out to 1 new set or klicky every 1.5 days.  :(o):

Those fruit trees look great, I don't have any yet but they're on the to-get list.

5893 Carrying Case Pony Farm from Used Toy Store
« Reply #24 on: June 28, 2016, 17:01:04 »
The "classic" toy store in Parkersburg, WV, often holds Playmobil for me whenever they find any; this was the last thing they had for me. I got it yesterday & it is in excellent condition (the carry case isn't even scuffed), & is only absent a few pieces. The girl klickie (40 11 1660) is missing, as well as a mole, the carrots, & 2 turnips. Unfortunately, DS here & in the UK is out of stock on the girl, so until I can find her, this spare boy klickie, also from the used toy store, works nicely with the original set's hat. The other pieces I have from other sets, so I added them for the picture. I didn't bother with the mole because I find them a little disturbing.

The best part - a friend picked it up for me from the store, & gave it to me, saying, "Look! There's even horse... manure!" Sure enough, there is a pretty pile of plastic Playmobil pony poo-poo! (Look in the wheelbarrow.) The DB has this classified as, of all things, "Ice cream, scoops in a pile"!!!!!! LOL.... Those are amazing ponies, that can produce frozen chocolate treats!

Yes, chocolate ice cream/pony poo is a longstanding amusement for collectors. It's been used as both things at different times in different sets.

Bookshelf
The books in my bedroom are being moved to the library & Playmobil is taking over the bookshelf. It gives me a lot of pleasure to have klickies to look at all day long while in my room. Here's what I've got so far. The very top shelf is being saved for the Super 4 fairy tower & technopolis sets.

Very nice! It will slowly take over more and more space...at least that's been my experience.

Very nice! It will slowly take over more and more space...at least that's been my experience.

This is just the shelf in my bedroom. There are three more identical shelves, mostly full, in the library. Plus 9 full storage boxes on the floor, & stuff all over the set-up table, & assorted bags....

My birthday is in 12 days & there are 16 unopened sets waiting for me, piled on the floor, with 2 more expected in the mail soon. I've been saving Playmobil since Christmas for a special Christmas in July birthday; since I was sick last December, I saved all my Playmobil presents for a later time, & have been adding to the pile since then.

I was going to wait until the actual day to start opening, but temptation is hitting.
