Medieval Castle Complex
« on: March 07, 2016, 16:07:32 »
I've amassed a fairly significant castle collection in the past 6 months, and this was my first attempt to create a large castle complex.  With 3 young kids who love Playmobil, the beautiful set-ups and scenes that so many of you share are a challenge in my house, but thought I'd post a couple of pics just to share the overall layout and structure!  Unfortunately don't have many more pics - I also have a short attention span, so I took it down and am now working on a new layout that's more accessible to play.  Will share more as I get it done, thanks to everyone for all the wonderful inspiration and creativity shared here!

:o

That's HUGE!

Looking forward to your next version... I had that problem too, made a large villa.. took me a LONG time to figure it out... and THEN realized there was no way I could "populate" it :(  So, it got nowhere.

Looks good!
And certainly not bad for 6 months of collecting  ;)

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

Wow! That looks amazing!  How wonderful to have so many castle parts to build with.

Thanks for the comments!  On top of a number of small buildings (bakery, tailor, blacksmith, museum, 7785, 2 7145's), it took me something like five 3666's, four 3450's, two 3446's and about 5 large lots from ebay!  I have a couple more coming, but I think it's time to put on the brakes for a little while and focus on building...

Das ist mal eine Burg von einer Burg! Respekt. Ich hätte vielleicht versucht, die rechten Winkel ein wenig aufzuweichen, so daß es noch etwas "echter" aussieht.

A great castle, congratulations. Guess I'd tried to "soften" the rectangle form to make it look more natural.

More and bigger pictures please and don't forget to use what looks like a nice big mirror to make it look even larger.
