I'm spending hours every day at Fort Steuben, learning how to give tours, etc. Today I helped the kids make waxed pine cones (colonial air fresheners). Today's pics were practice on learning how to take shots inside the buildings - the lighting is tricky. This is going to motivate me to get more Western klickies, as the outdoors & inside settings would work for both Wild West & US Civil War.

It's not a theme I collect (apart from some ACW troops) but I really like the look of a lot of the Western figures. That family especially has sorely tempted me. To see them in a historically correct background is a real treat!

Great looking camp ground! They better watch out for those raccoons though, they will eat up all their food.

The guy with the camera is obviously impressed with his friend's sausage-onna-stick and will no doubt soon be posting a picture of their lakeside meal on Faceburk.
Are they leaving their tent behind?
Great settings, lovely posing JLM!

At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Are they leaving their tent behind?
Only if they're University of Oregon fraternity members!
