Hello from Connecticut USA
« on: February 21, 2016, 21:50:55 »
Well I'm in!    Happy to be part of the PMF forum!  I like any PM set before 2010!  I'm most recently been collecting early western... but I have a keen interest in anything pre 1985!   8-)

Welcome to PF! I hope you'll enjoy it here. I'm quite new as well.

I like any PM set before 2010!  ... I have a keen interest in anything pre 1985!

Any particular reason for these dates? Please do share, by its precision the statement sounds so very tantalizing!

For me, the period post-1983 (loose hands) to mid-90s is very, very desirable, but much of the more recent, including contemporary, catalogue holds a lot of attraction, too.

Best wishes
StJohn

Well those dates were meant to be more of a loose guidepost to describe my interests...  Most of my acquired sets were purchased new between '90 and '05 for family play.  Now that the children are no longer children (excepting myself of course ) I've discovered EBay and the plethora of classic PM available for purchase  :o!  So fixed handed klickies and their original accessories have become my focus.  Putting good condition sets together from stray partial lots has become a bit of an obsession. Pre 1985 covers early sets through plamospace which I just discovered recently.  As far as post 2010 goes I've not warmed up in the least to the contemporary PM.

Is that 2 we have from Connecticut in the past few weeks????  There seems to be an influx of USA collectors now.  I'm EXCITED to see that!

Welcome from Tennessee!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Howdy!

Fun fact for non-American Playmofriends: the second c in Connecticut is not pronounced!
