Tiny Toys and Blue Boxes

Hi guys!
Here are a couple shots that I've seen on-line recently and I was wondering if anyone knew if these are real sets or if these were photoshopped shots? I absolutely love the tiny blue boxes and the little horse/rider toy...they are so itty bitty and adorable.

They are real parts. The boxes are empty, but they had a collection of mini sets some years back. The mini toys still pop up in new sets (children's rooms, shops, etc.).

Both pictures appear to be pcc related.

The figure with glasses represents Hans Beck who died on January 30, 2009. It appeared on the pcc site on that date as a commemorative picture though the image here is different.
The other figures with santa hats are Knight of Malta (Malta exclusive), White Knight pcc gift, Marco Polo pcc gift, Albrecht Durer (Nuremberg tourism exclusive) and Travelling Tim - Tim was sent around the world to various pcc members to be the subject of photo shoots.

Yeah the tiny toys originally came from the micro world theme. Each set came in a magnetic box that had appropriate scenery, and the little toys had magnets on the bottom. There were also child klickys in costumes to match. You can look up micro sets on playmodb. As Ismene said, they still pop up in sets occasionally.

 After buying the Toyshop set 5488, which contains two of those mini blue boxes, one of my children had me making a whole batch of them with the help of some photo paper, a printer/ copier and a craft knife. I knew there was a reason for keeping empty PM boxes!

I've been wanting to make a bunch of custom ones too, but I'm not all that tech savvy when it comes to that type of stuff. I'll figure it out though, I guess.

The easiest boxes to do are the ones which fit onto the glass of my printer/scanner (A4). I  open them out flat, scan them, reduce the image and reprint onto photo paper (which is quite stiff), cut them out, fold them into shape. It's only the scanning/ reducing which needs some tech savvy, but yup, you'll manage it Bonniebeth, I am sure!

Both pics are from the PCC and by the PCC. Did you know this? If so, you should have mentioned that.
