playmobil.co.uk online shop seem to be having a new year clearance sale. 

Search for characteristic "new" in the left hand search bar.

You've found the Playmobil Direct Service section of the website.  It sells extra figures and combinations of figures, plus additional items to expand sets, often items from existing or discontinued sets and re-released items.  They are not particularly sale items as such and may stay in the Direct Service section for years.  The 7242 construction trailer has been in the catalogue since at least 1997!  What the criteria are for including an item I don't know.

The mineral wagon is a but of a puzzle as I amsure that last year it was in the Direct Service section but at about £25.

Yes, it's not often that we get deals like that over here.  In fact, I wonder if it is a mistake as I have noticed some looking through.  Fir example, the fire trailer is shown as being new, but that was certainly there last year.

Me thinks they are updating the sites.

The new (well, ancient by now, but new in the lesser markets official stores) set are FINALLY getting there.

The same mineral car is 9,99 Euro on the German website from Playmobil. Pity that mostly delivery is only in German or the UK, depending on the website.
